UNLV PRACTICE is an Institute of Mental & Behavioral Health with a bold mission: to break down outdated siloed training models and unite programs for the greatest possible impact in addressing Nevada’s behavioral health needs. We are building a coordinated, interdisciplinary approach to research, training, and care—because Nevada deserves a system that works

Our clinical services provide access to affordable, high-quality care for the community while preparing the next generation of providers. Since opening our doors, we have served nearly 8,000 Nevadans statewide and trained more than 400 future mental and behavioral health professionals.

Beyond service delivery and training, UNLV PRACTICE has helped elevate mental health as equally essential to overall health as physical care. We have played a significant role in partnering with policymakers and community leaders to advance transformative workforce development and sustainability initiatives—efforts designed to strengthen Nevada’s behavioral health infrastructure for the long term.

With your support, we can fully realize our vision of becoming a national model of excellence in collaborative and innovative mental health research, training, responsive treatment, and community engagement. Your investment allows us to:

  • Keep our doors open year-round
  • Fill critical funding gaps when services are not fully reimbursed
  • Supervise and train more students to address workforce shortages
  • Expand infrastructure, outreach, advocacy, and policy engagement efforts.
UNLV PRACTICE is uniquely positioned to lead Nevada forward—ensuring all Nevadans have access to the world-class mental health care they deserve.

Nevada deserves better than last. It’s time to invest in the training, research, community engagement, and care required to build a sustainable, high-performing behavioral health system. It’s time to make mental health a priority.
