Thank you for your interest in supporting UNLV University Libraries during Rebels Give!

UNLV University Libraries inspire transformative research, connect diverse communities, expand knowledge, and fuel scholarship. We are an academic home and sanctuary for students, faculty, and members of our community, where they can study, research, and learn from our resources and each other.

Your donations to any of the following areas will help fund critical Libraries programs, and allow us to provide a variety of services to UNLV students and faculty, our Southern Nevada community, and beyond.

Please consider supporting one of the following areas during Rebels Give. Thank you so much!

Makerspace & Multimedia Student Lab: This fund enables donors to invest in the Makerspace and Multimedia Student Lab to provide resources for students to explore their creativity. Equipped with a laser cutter, 3D printers, sewing machines, and flexible work spaces, this creative space is designed for students to innovate, experiment, and explore. The multimedia studios provide state-of-the-art recording and video equipment that can be used to record and create videos, podcasts, music, and other content.

Match: A libraries donor will match every donation dollar for dollar up to $3,000 to support the Makerspace & Multimedia Student Lab.

Game On! The Oral History of Sports in Las Vegas: The Oral History Research Center, under the direction of founding director, Claytee White, has launched a new project to document the story of sports in Las Vegas. From early community teams to the major league, national champion teams, the Game On project plans to collect interviews that capture the wide range of athletic history and achievement in Southern Nevada. In addition, the center continues to collect the stories of the Las Vegas community to ensure that every type of voice is heard and part of the historical record of our great region. Your support enables more stories to be captured and will support the ongoing needs of the center.

Special Collections Internship Fund : Special Collections and Archives supports researchers worldwide in the interdisciplinary study of Las Vegas, Southern Nevada, and gaming. The department, thanks to 25-year faculty member Su Kim Chung, has launched a fund to start a paid internship for Special Collections and Archives. This will give an individual an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in archival work while also supporting critical work for the Libraries.

Match: An anonymous Libraries faculty member is matching dollar for dollar up to $1,000.

Challenge: Researcher and longtime friend of the Libraries, Larry Gragg will give $500 when we reach 20 donors to this fund.

Dean's Unrestricted Fund: A gift to the Dean's Leadership Circle supports the ongoing and greatest needs of the University Libraries. These funds will be allocated to internal projects and initiatives at the discretion of the Dean of Libraries.
