The UNLV School of Public Health was established in 2004 to improve people's health and well-being
worldwide. It is the first accredited School of Public Health in the state of Nevada and is one of only 68 in
the world with this distinction. Nearly, twenty years later, its departments, programs, and research units
are growing and still working to provide a diverse education, practical training experience, and
numerous community involvement opportunities to prepare students to become leaders and
professionals in the field of Public Health.
Your gift can be directed to the following funds:
Public Health Emergency Response - Emergency grants provide resources to students in immediate need and remove the financial barriers
that might keep them from continuing their education during a challenging life situation. Students who
meet the criteria for successful degree completion should not have to choose between necessities for
living (food, shelter, etc.) and completing their degree. The Emergency Aid Program provides emergency
grants as well as support and the connection to resources for students seeking to improve their overall
well-being. The program assists low or moderate-income School of Public Health students
(undergraduate and graduate) by providing financial support when they need assistance with
unexpected emergency expenses.

UNLV Food Pantry - The UNLV Food Pantry plays a critical role in supporting student health and academic success by
addressing food insecurity on campus. Open to all UNLV students and staff, the pantry provides access
to nutritious food and basic essentials, helping ensure students do not have to choose between meeting
basic needs and completing their education. For students in the School of Public Health, the pantry is
both a vital resource and a reflection of our core values - health equity, dignity, and community care.
Your support helps keep shelves stocked, reduces barriers to learning, and strengthens the well-being of
students working toward careers dedicated to improving the health of others.
