Fund for Excellence
Give the gift of excellence! The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is striving to meet the healthcare needs of our region by educating future physicians and providing Southern Nevadans with world-class healthcare right here in Las Vegas. The Fund for Excellence provides valuable and flexible resources for the Dean to invest in the school's priorities and enhance its educational, clinical, research, and community outreach efforts. Such flexibile resources are essential to the medical school.
Scholarship
Give the gift of education! Make a contribution to the education of an aspiring doctor. When you support a scholarship for a student in the school of medicine, you make an investment in the future of healthcare in Southern Nevada. Most likely, you will be investing in a student from Nevada or one of the surrounding states. In the last class to enter medical school, the Class of 2027, 54 of 66 students are Nevadans! Nevada students are more likely to come back home to Nevada to practice medicine after residency. If you care about excellent healthcare in Southern Nevada, investing in scholarships is the way to go!

Dr. Gwendoline N. Amsrala Memorial Scholarship
Give the gift of mentorship! By giving to this fund, you are contributing to the Dr. Gwendoline N. Amsrala Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Gwendoline N. Amsrala was a native Nevadan and recent MD graduate from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. She was a first-generation student with an unwavering work ethic, passion for learning, and desire to care for the sickest patients in the hospital - qualities destined to have made her a wonderful critical care physician.
In honor of her memory, Gwen's family and friends have established an endowed scholarship to carry on her legacy. The Dr. Gwendoline N. Amsrala Memorial Scholarship will benefit a student annually at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. The award will be given to a student whom Gwen would have been a natural mentor to and one who embodies the qualities that made Dr. Amsrala a phenomenal physician - a compassionate, first-generation student interested in pursuing a career in medicine with a fervor for advocacy.
