Support UNLV Student and Academic Success!
Help us support undergraduate students through their academic journeys to graduation! In July of 2024, the Academic Success Center merged with the Office of Student Success to form Student and Academic Success (S.A.S.) and strengthen support for our undergraduate students. S.A.S. provides support programs like academic advising, tutoring, supplemental instruction, success coaching, peer mentoring, first-year experience, major exploration, and much more. Together, we can empower students to reach their academic and career goals! Your generosity — whether $10, $50, or $1,000 — can help make an impact!
Here are a few highlights for the previous academic year (AY 23/24):
- The tutoring lab welcomed over 8,000 in-person student visits!
- A partnership was established with NetTutor to offer dynamic virtual tutoring beyond regular in-person lab hours.
- Supplemental Instruction welcomed over 13,200 student visits, which is a UNLV record! Additionally, Supplemental Instruction would go on to become nationally accredited by The International Center for Supplemental Instruction
- The Academic Success Coaching program welcomed around 1,500 student visits!
- Student-Athlete Academic Services achieved a fourteenth straight semester at an overall student-athlete semester cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Additionally, 75.53% (355/470) of UNLV student-athletes (including spirit squads) attained a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or greater. All UNLV varsity teams maintained a multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of 930 or better.
